About nexRN
What is nexRN?+
nexRN is a clinical judgment training platform for nursing students preparing for the Next Gen NCLEX. It's not a question bank — it's a decision-making simulator. Every session puts you inside realistic clinical scenarios and trains you to choose the right action under pressure, which is exactly what the exam tests.
How is nexRN different from other NCLEX prep products?+
Most prep products are built around memorization: recall a fact, pick the answer, move on. The Next Gen NCLEX doesn't test that. It tests clinical judgment — your ability to recognize deterioration early, prioritize correctly, and act under pressure. nexRN trains the decision-making pattern, not just the knowledge. Every question forces you to choose between actions that both feel right, so you build the instinct override skill the exam actually rewards.
What is the Next Gen NCLEX?+
The Next Gen NCLEX (introduced in 2023) is a fundamentally different exam from its predecessor. It's built around the NCJMM — the Next-Generation Clinical Judgment Measurement Model — which evaluates six layers of clinical thinking: recognizing cues, analyzing findings, prioritizing hypotheses, generating solutions, taking action, and evaluating outcomes. It rewards nurses who can think clinically, not just recall protocols.
Is nexRN built around the NCJMM framework?+
Yes. Every nexRN question is designed around the NCJMM framework. The question archetypes, the decision rules in the explanations, and the pattern feedback at the end of each session all map directly to the cognitive layers the Next Gen NCLEX evaluates.
How It Works
How does a nexRN session work?+
A session is 10 clinical judgment questions, one at a time. After you answer each question, you see a detailed explanation: why the correct action wins, why the wrong choice felt right, and what decision rule separates them. At the end, you get a pattern summary showing what types of errors you made — not just a score.
How long does a session take?+
About 15 minutes. Sessions are designed for daily use — short enough to fit into a study routine, intensive enough to actually build judgment.
What does the explanation look like after each question?+
Each explanation has four parts: what clinical signal mattered most in the scenario, why the correct action wins (the decision rule), why the wrong choice felt right (what instinct it exploited), and why that wrong choice fails clinically. The goal is to give you a portable rule — something you carry into the exam room, not just the answer to one question.
What is the pattern feedback at the end of a session?+
After 10 questions, nexRN shows you which decision-making patterns tripped you up. For example: "You delayed when you should have acted" or "You prioritized the visible symptom instead of the underlying cause." This turns a score into actionable insight. You know exactly what to train tomorrow.
Will I see the same questions twice?+
Not within a session. nexRN draws from a pool of 400+ clinical judgment questions and balances question types and clinical domains per session so every session feels fresh.
Getting Started
Do I need to download anything?+
No. nexRN is entirely web-based. It works on any modern browser — laptop, tablet, or phone. No app store required.
What is a magic link? Why no password?+
A magic link is a one-click sign-in sent to your email (or phone via SMS). You enter your email, get a link, click it, and you're in — no password to forget, no account to manage. It's faster and more secure than a traditional login.
Can I try nexRN before buying?+
Yes. Your first session is completely free — no credit card required. Sign up, complete the short onboarding, and you'll go through a full 10-question demo session with explanations and pattern feedback before any purchase decision.
What happens after the free session?+
After the demo, you'll see a summary of your results and a prompt to purchase 90-day access. You can buy directly from that screen. One payment, instant access, no subscription.
Pricing & Access
How much does nexRN cost?+
nexRN is $99 for 90 days of unlimited access. One payment. No subscription. No auto-renewal.
Why 90 days?+
Most nursing students have a focused NCLEX prep window of 60–90 days after graduation. The 90-day format aligns with that window — long enough to build a real habit, short enough to stay focused.
When does my 90-day access start?+
The moment your payment is confirmed. You'll have immediate access to full unlimited sessions from that point.
Is there a refund policy?+
Because nexRN provides immediate digital access upon purchase, we do not offer refunds. If you have a concern or issue with your access, contact us at contact@nexrn.ai and we'll make it right.
Does the $99 include everything?+
Yes. The $99 gives you unlimited daily sessions for 90 days — all question tiers, all clinical domains, full explanations, and pattern feedback after every session. There are no add-ons or upsells.
Results & Retakers
Will nexRN help me pass the NCLEX?+
nexRN is designed to train the clinical judgment the Next Gen NCLEX tests. It won't replace content review — you still need to know your pharmacology, disease processes, and lab values. But if your content knowledge is solid and you're still struggling with the exam, the gap is almost always judgment. That's what nexRN fixes.
I'm retaking the NCLEX. Is nexRN right for me?+
Yes — especially for retakers. Most students who fail did not fail for lack of knowledge. They failed because the exam tested clinical judgment and they had practiced recall. nexRN directly addresses that gap. The pattern feedback is particularly valuable for retakers because it names the exact error pattern to fix.
I'm still in nursing school. Is it too early to use nexRN?+
Not at all. Using nexRN during your final year reinforces the clinical reasoning you're developing in clinicals and simulation. Students who start early build the decision-making habit before exam pressure hits.
